Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

They always get rid of the wrong people

Isn't it unbelievable how this company doesn't recognize who are the people that should be kept, and who are those that should be gotten rid of?
Here it seems the opposite always happens. Dead weight remains, and people who are diligent, talented and capable, there doesn't seem to be much room for them here.

There is no way that you were let go as a Mobile Expert unless you were fired for doing something stupid.

This always happens. It is why things are getting worse and worse. Higher paid, tenured employees are the first to be laid off because they can get 2-3 warm bodies to replace their one, even if the replacements have no clue. We don't think long term. We look at spreadsheets for that quarter. I've seen so many cases where, within a year, they were practically begging some to come back, rehire policies be damned.

Cuts are made for dollars. Dead weight doesn't usually make enough to make the cut list.
