Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

When will the next reorg be?

Surely trigger fingers are starting to itch? They have added a couple of new EVPs and SVPs and some others got bounced.. so surely they will be aching to fire some of the masses to put their own stamp on things. Can they fire us before our reinvent shares become available in 2025?

It will be soon, you won’t see it coming.

Can you imagine being a good worker, being let go by bp during “Reinvent” and being told it’s not about performance? Then 18 months later the company goes on a hiring frenzy. Would you apply? XD

Ah yes, I remember the last time bp decided comms was not a priority was right before DWH. We all remember how that turned out.

The fact that they temporarily moved William Lin to have oversight of C&A. He does not have a comms background and it leads me to believe that the organization is not a priority moving forward, IMO.

Oh they are assessing how to reorganize the communications unit right now. The head of that unit left recently and now they don’t know what to do with it.

at this point a mass hiring reorg would be the only way to put their own stamp on things- who's left to layoff?
