Snow day

Do you get paid for snow day? They closed my store today. I was scheduled to work. Will I get paid or not?

You only get paid if you showed up and couldn't complete shift because of closure.

Ice and sleet are coming down now and then accumulating snow will happen and we’re not closing…yet?

Manager here. You will get emergency pay for the hours of your shift, IF YOU DID NOT CALL OUT. but if you called out on insite you won’t get paid.

My suggestion is do not callout on InSite if your store is closed due to snow. You should get an emergency announcement by email and text. If you do, you will get paid for that day. If you callout, they will take it that you intend not to come in and forfeit your emergency pay. Remember you can No Call No Show 3 times consecutively before you are terminated and before they can issue a documentation, they need to have a verbal conversation with you first for this minor infraction.

Good luck
