Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Discrimination

It's been really obvious to my co-worker and I that our boss is discriminating against women. He will require us to detail down to the steps what is needed for a task and our male counterpart doesn't have to. Time to file a complaint with HR. They will not do anything but at least I can show EEOC that I tried to resolve it within the company first. SCORE!!!

Why does it matter what type of genitalia they may have or not? The "leaders" all want the same thing: money, power, and control. Doesn't matter what genitalia they may have.

Optum Tech is hugely sexist. Very few women in leadership and the male leaders promote men just like them. The sexism just continues on...

People should never be attached to a job or company because of things like this.

Had a boomer boss who told us never to have baggage and to always start a new job with a clean slate. We said that response made us concerned about them because one should always have a real backup plan no matter what. We are all easily replaced, and can be let go anytime, for anything, or nothing. And it's intentional. Hamster wheelers.

The most immoral unethical person I have ever met was a male who was a VP of audit. No professional or social skills. Didn’t know the operations so instead would come into the office around noon time then within 10 minutes sneak out the door with one of his female staff and disappear for 2-3 hours. Gave her the reputation of a Wh*re,
missed deadlines, threatened staff and was responsible for a employee wrongful determination lawsuit. So what are you talking about the women managers/directors.

"Some of the women Directors are just quota cases: no skills, no empathy, no … holograms."

would say most women. They are there to tick the box for diversity theatre and or mental cases who are into company fetishism, careerism

Sounds sus, I would be wondering if they were having you write all the stuff down so when they laid you off, someone new exactly what to do next. Or they plan on using it to put you on a CAP. Did you get asked to fill out a skill sheet for your area yet?

While there are discriminations. Some of the women Directors are just quota cases: no skills, no empathy, no … holograms.

The HR "department" is nothing more than independent contractors who are sentinels at the gate. What you see is a facade.

Actually HR is subcontracted out. Personally you should definitely file a complaint with HR and then file with EEOC. In the USA the private companies have to pay big bucks to fight off the federal government so either way you win!!! DO IT!!!

: @1wtc+1f1bZ0Dm IF you're "gonzo" after you reported it then that just proves up your case in a Federal Court of Law... That is how we do it in the USA!

Your just asking for trouble going to hr. You'll be at the top of the list for layoffs and forget about merit or a bonus. You need to leave.

NEVER TALK TO HR. Never. Ever. The CAP thing is 100% correctomundo. The company will set you up for the termination/firing/lay off. Think of an American company as a big cesspool

Optum is known for treating women bad except for RXs compliance team where the CCO has I believe about six women on board and a recently hired male. Known for hiring women but I believe treats them well. Others either mistreat female staff and if not mistreating they are having s*x with them. Just a fact.

Do not make a report to HR. Worked in a very racist department at RX and employees made complaints to HR, even an ex-employee made an anonymous complaint and there was retaliation immediately. Save yourself from this and find another job. Once you make an EEOC complaint UHG hires a law firm and they will massacre you. Set you up for a CAP and full out make things up that make you look bad. Just move on.

HR is NOT your friend. They only represent the corporation's interests. Do not talk to HR. Do not volunteer info to HR. As a US worker, you have very few basic rights. EEOC is theater, and an illusion of "assistance".
