I heard today that dispatchers are being ordered to violate Hos and work up to 16 hour shifts. The Horse is willing to pay the FRA fines. Can anyone confirm.

Investors. Please dont invest in tbis u etbical company anymore.
yardmasters are next
They don’t even care about HOS signing off cab signals you think they care about dispatchers? Just more meat for the grinder, welcome to the club dispatch.
The FRA is one of ten agencies within DOT concerned with intermodal transportation. It operates through seven divisions under the offices of the Administrator and Deputy Administrator.
Rules?. They could care less about them or safety. They have mechanical so cut down that locomotives are getting signed off without really anyone looking at them. Car dept has been cut that they have conductors, some with less than a years service signing off on class 1 yard inspections on cars, that have no knowledge of what they are looking at. Norfolk Southern would rather take a chance and save money and jeopardize your life all in the name of profit. That is a fact.
The DOT? Lol. What do they have to do with it? Nothing
None of that stuff matters anymore
The rules are just a formality anyways. Just be safe and get some work done each shift. Nobody cares about the paperwork shuffle as long as the greenbacks keep flowing.
Yeah, and? Everyone is violating some FRA rule some where. I’ve seen wheels that look like pizza cutters get signed off. HOS is just another one. None of it will matter until there’s an accident, the company will act shocked, and people will be fired. End of story.
They have been violating HOS hours in my area for some time now. They don't care.
