Of course, I speak from my own point of view. I had a few colleagues who never complained about being here, moreover, it seemed like they were very comfortable at ATT. They left a long time ago.
On the other hand, I have several colleagues who often complain but they are still there. I don't know what's the psychology behind it, I've just noticed it happening.

No, I do not agree. I find those that complain a lot seem to care more about the company, their jobs and future of the company. This is what I have seen time and time again. Those that do not care just do not care and I see it in their daily work performance also. Most who complain like the company and care about it's future.
I think the people that complain actually care more. They see things not working so well and want to improve or fix them. Those that say little to nothing probably don’t really care, so they just bounce. I used to complain, but no more. Mostly because I quit caring and gave up. Been looking for a new gig, but I’ve been picky. Got a few things cooking, but I won’t know until early Jan. Market is hot, get out and find something better.
What makes you think all the complainers still work here? This toxic company has created massive amounts of hatred among both current and former employees. Ethical, well managed companies don't do that.
People with enough motivation to have decent skills can leave. They don't need to stay and complain.
Gee - no complaints from Whitacre, Ratty and Stin - all of whom stayed here too long.
They've got more to complain about.
