The #1 thing: Do NOT work at IBM. Truly, the biggest mistake of my life.
Be loyal to yourself! Don't think your company is loyal to you because you are an employee. Add value as you work, learn as you go, and stay positive. Biggest mistake we make when staying 25 years in any company (including IBM) is the thought process that we are like a family. Business will evolve, skills will need to change, we need to be able to adopt. This is my advice to my younger self, dear!
