Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Nothing can be done easily here

At first it was funny to me. Now, however, it's starting to frustrate me because my superior is still trying to outsmart everyone making even the simplest things more complicated. This person is not interested in the results but only that other people blindly listen to him and confirm his authority. Any kind of opposition or suggestion to do things differently would be an attack on his ego and it wouldn’t end well.
I know he's not the only one like this at Allstate because Allstate has become a paradise for managers like this. I wonder if anyone has had experience like this and how to respectfully ask him to stop needlessly overcomplicating things?

Transformative growth has led to a much deteriorated claims process for all parties. 'Deny, delay, dont pay' was the motto from one of the largest consulting firms in the country and it is evident that we still operate with this mindset. Claims are set up to force customers to literally prove their damages before we allow a penny. Our adjusters are burdened with so many redundant processes and steps to handle a claim that it pretty well ensures that the claims are delayed. This place is an absolute joke. I only intend to continue to work here due to the fact that I can perform my job and work a second gig. I appreciate the flexibility and lack of accountability. The decisions made to operate this way simply make it impossible to be proud of this job and/or the quality of work that I am willing to provide. You're welcome Shapiro. Job well done.

Your explanation of the management-supervision that has evolved at Allstate is excellent. I agree with you 100% nothing but a bunch of incompetent self absorbed nosers trying to prove they can tow the company line better than anyone in history. Blindly implementing ridiculous monotony, useless process that accomplished nothing. No one could devise a plan without adding their own spin to it so as to leave an imprint that might get them a pat on the back. There were great managers at one time but the well became poisoned from the top tier of useless decision makers or trickle down incompetence took over. The final outcome for this once great company is yet determined, there might be success in its future, they may prove all of us wrong. What a train wreck of a shi$ show pathway to transformation so far.
