Required to report vaccine status

Seems illegal, you know, an employer wanting my protected health information. Should everyone be required to report their other vaccines for measles, mumps, polio?

This is bull and a lawsuit should commence!

Everyone needs to be vaccinated. The virus will mutate and find home anywhere it can. It doesn't discriminate based on what flag you stand behind. Either we go back to an agrarian society living in far out places with very little contact with each other ... or we accept the interconnected world that exists today and gives us all these comforts and in return we ALL get vaccinated.

it's true..strains come from other countries. The rest of the world needs to be vaccinated.

"It's not dogmatic people, it's basic science. We're forcing the wrong people to get vaccinated"
cognitive dissonance is strong in this one.

LOL.. this strain came from South Africa. Until the entire world is vaccinated, this doesn't go away. Perhaps the mandates should be in those countries and not the US. We're already close to heard immunity anyway, but if you include all the illegal aliens crossing the border that aren't vaccinated, I guess that would bring the percentages down. That's another argument in and of itself. It's not dogmatic people, it's basic science. We're forcing the wrong people to get vaccinated.

people keep getting sick because the virus keeps mutating. it woudn't have the chance to keep mutating to this extent if we didn't provide such good fodder with our stupidity. it's pointless arguing with dogmatic people. Unfortunately we will all suffer because people will place their dogma before science and logic and dig into their beliefs until they are dead.

so if I'm mandated to get the vaccine and do...and then get covid...just like many vaccinated are...then what the purpose of the mandate? It hasn't solved anything. Sure, it protects me from getting real if sick, which probably wouldn't happen anyhow. But you can be sure that if I'm vaccinated or not and I get covid, I can't go into the office so I'm not really sure what the mandate solves.

@1fqb+1ertemgO excellent answer. I couldn't have articulated that better myself. Just got off the phone with my Dad this eve and asked him about Polio and Smallpox vaccines (he was born in 1946 btw). According to my dad, there was no resistance, vaccines were nearly a Godsend and people lined up outside of schools and libraries by the droves in order to be protected and protect others. Anti-vax was absolute batshit crazy back in the day. FWIW.

Just wondering, does the Fidelity Health Insurance Plan cover Hot Dog Fingers and Count Choculitis?

ya because people that are vaccinated are not getting sick or spreading....ya...right. Mandates don't solve anything.

The vaccinated are getting covid and spreading it.
Are the vaccinated getting less sick? That is my understanding and why I'm vaccinated.
Do I want the government to force a mandate at businesses to enforce? No way, Congress should vote on it.

It's not a Fidelity issue... it's an OSHA issue and hopefully the Supreme Court will shut it down on the 7th. If Biden wants a mandate it should be voted on and not created by the Department of Labor.

An airborne contagious disease with 800K dead just in America, millions more dead impacting all 195 nations on Earth. Massive hospitalization costs incurred that under our US health care system employers have to shell out most of the money for. We answer yes or no every year regarding Tobacco usage for Insurance annual enrollment. Same exact premise. Perhaps if an employee agreed to give up employer sponsored health insurance and never interact with any co-worker in person they would earn the right not to answer that question. Agree to not call 911 or ever go to the hospital if seriously ill from Covid & un-vaxxed and one can really assume full responsibility for the liberty they crave.

What makes you think your health information is protected? Do you not provide vaccination records to schools for measles, mumps, rubella when your child enrolls in kindergarten?

And FFS do not invoke HIPAA. That is not what HIPAA is/covers.

Go ahead and file that lawsuit, slick. See how fast it gets bounced, if you could even find an attorney who would file it.

I'm sure that Fid's medical insurance provider plays a role in this.
You'll get a different rate or lesser coverage if you are not chipped.
Same with life insurance.
Makes sense, really.
If you question that, then you shouldn't be handling other people's money.
