Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Another blow up In CO2 field

Well denbury… how many does that make you’ve “swept under the rug”
CK.. I think you were told this would happen again..and once again it did.. how many blowouts does that make in the last few years??
Just a little FYI for all the white collars since y’all seem to be really slow learners… if you ignore or overlook (or whatever your professional term is) major repairs needed to flow lines and facilities because you’re scared it might hurt your stock price then in return you’re gambling with peoples lives. Luckily the past 4 blowouts denbury has had have been fatality free….. but don’t let the statistics catch up with you.
Do your job and inspect your facilities and flow lines and when you get that report you don’t like.. don’t argue it and try to make everyone believe it’s all okay..
all employees know it’s a ticking time bo-b and the CEO and his groupies are only interested in stock price and conning investors.

DO YOUR JOB and quit sweeping it under the rug.

The people in the “people department” need to change. Maybe we don’t get the heartfelt caring and smart ones we use to have…but at the very least could we upgrade to decent human beings? Remove the weird CPA and put in an HR professional at least. The decisions we make are just d-mb. Has anyone ever pushed back on CK. There may have disagreements back in the day, but at least I felt like I had a voice.

Yes! There’s another whose been at the head of the line for treating people like h*ll. So many companies do it right and are successful. We will never be one of them. Just is that way. Too bad.

There is somebody else that has been sitting next to PR and CK this whole time.

The “people department” hasn’t had anyone new that I know of in years so what’s changed there?

Did Phil get a $80 million dollar payday?

I agree with two posts down, this is not the same place it was 4 years ago.

Stop blaming Phil. He’s been gone for years now. This is all on CK. At least we weren’t miserable back then. Felt like we were part of a co that meant something, working for people who cared. At least we had a reasonable number of people at the top, the people department was staffed with decent human beings not robots afraid of making eye contact.

Ck was involved with alot of the garbage spending. Denbury has used the crutch of all phils fault and the rona. Ck was involved with the grieve partnership with elkhorn that cost us a pile of money. The jo--t venture in salt creek was ck. This guy is an id--t just like the last. He can get his approval easy enough. We only dumped 3 board members through the bankruptcy process.

Think we do bankruptcy again when oil takes another dip??? That's what I'm thinking our future holds again

Mississippi.. again.
Canton junction
Delta pipeline at satartia
Trace plant facility
And now flow line intersects feeding trace plant.. lines that were known to have wear and chosen not to be repaired.

No prediction or psychic ability needed for this one..
just common sense…

No blowouts. The original poster “the gang” used the wrong word. He/she is implying they predicted this, therefore I’m sure they are also smart enough to understand the difference between a blowout and what actually occurred.

Thats my biggest fear for the future. We have punted on all major projects for years. So many downhole issue that have been neglected and its going to all come to a head. Hopefully no one get hurt when it happens but its coming.
