U-verse TV packages
Due to increased programming costs, we’re adjusting the price of our video packages. Periodically, TV network owners increase the fees they charge AT&T for the right to broadcast their movies, shows, and sporting events. In addition, this year we have experienced higher-than-normal inflation across our suppliers.

Just like Sears and GE, this spiral will go slow, and then very fast. These U-Verse price increases are exactly why we bought DTV and WarnerMedia. Now we don't have the clout to avoid them. The spiral is getting faster everyday.
If you want cheap service, AT&T is not for you. We don't do "cheap." This is a premium quality service, and you should expect to pay accordingly.

New Samsung TV with their own streaming service no charge canceled Uverse and my 5 lines of wireless. Oh well - good luck with your business plan Mr. Stanky.
use roku with cable provider app. get better internet service and have traditional cable if I am in the mood and it doesn't cost nearly as much because I own the roku device.
got to pay down the debt and i thought uverse went the way of digital life.
Uverse tv was great. If ATT would have used the dtv money to run fiber, ATT could have competed with the cable companies. On copper, Uverse tv eats in to broadband speeds. The dtv deal really ki---d uverse tv - just before OTT started(for live tv).
U-Verse and DTV are walking dead. 2022 will see the introduction of STV…Stankey TV, a subscription service brought to the public by T Corporate Communications where John will deliver a daily fireside chat.
I dumped cable back around 1991 and don't subscribe to any type of television/movie/music service. What have I missed? Absolutely nothing. But I do enjoy reading the posts from the bu-t-sitters. LOL

AT&T is so out of touch with the market. I am a customer for U-verse since it became available which seems like 10 years ago. I just reduced my package from U300 to Basic and I am saving $187. Of course there is nothing to watch on Basic. I wanted the local news channels but I found out that they charged me $10 extra for them and it's SD only and they disabled my DVR. So $30 for basically nothing. I made the change after I got an Amazon Fire TV stick. It blows U-verse away. No comparison in the amount of programming. There is more news on the Fire TV channels than on U-verse too so I will likely call back and cancel it entirely. I heard that AT&T won't give U-verse back once you cancel it. I would have cancelled it all but I wanted to try Fire TV first. Now I can't find a single reason to keep U-verse. I was already paying for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video which I still have in addition to other channels that are on Fire TV. I don't know how AT&T U-verse can survive. It costs 10X what the competition costs and has 1/10th of the programming.

DTV also sent a snail mail that their prices are increasing also.
Just waiting for the employee discount to end to dump it. No official word yet?
