I'm sure squires, shaw, Sanborn will all have it off. Probably multiple days. Why can't they hire or retain employees? I know maybe show employees they are people too.

That sounds like every Christmas when I was there. They always acted like we were Walmart and were going to get a rush of last minute shoppers.
Full forces required in the shops with no work there. Top notch management!!
They don't want to pay holiday pay.
And NS is short new hires like all the other class 1's. Nobody wants these jobs anymore.
Wow. Merry Freaking Christmas
If you want what the CEO’s have, then do what the CEO’s do and quit crying the blues. You chose to be a crafts person on the railroad, so pay your union dues, vote for the politicians your union endorses and shut your pie ho-e.
You are always free to seek employment elsewhere.
Thats the way it was when I was there. That has changed!
Some of you people are either union officials or company officials. In the 30 years I've been there, they have ALWAYS shut down the morning of Christmas Eve and cranked back up late Christmas night. Stop talking like you worked. You lie! They only ran a couple trains in that time period. All yards were shut down, you freaking mo--ns!
While I dont think anyone should have to work Christmas.....I agree with the last Post......The Senior Men and Women paid there dues just like the new hires have to.....So the Senior men and women should suck it up so the new "want it now" Generation can spend Christmas at home? SMH
Anybody got a diaper for The Christmas Karma Boo Hoo Hoo Cindy Lou Who Guy who had to work a couple holidays ? “Waah waah waah! You railroad meanies made him work a holiday !! Never mind the fact that senior guys paid their dues by being forced out for decades before he hired, or maybe even before he was born.
Last year they promised to send us home for Christmas then told us no you get to take train home!
Cough Cough Sneeze Sneeze! Time to go home! Not a big deal. If the ones that want to work, they will stay. For the ones that don't want to be there, well....Look above!
My question to everyone that's left in the shops is how does it feel to be forced over the next two weeks of holidays when for years you forced all the young guys and had no conscience doing it? Especially at SCX. I think it's karma so enjoy your Xmas. Lol
A young conductor in Harrisburg told me," it's just another day"!
I've decided to work overtime and cover a brother that wants to observe the holiday to be with his family. My kids are grown so it's not a big deal. The people with young children are the ones that would really like to be off, but often times can't due to seniority.
Shareholders need Christmas money. No Christmas for you! Come back one year!
