I know some will probably be laid off after the sale goes through but the rest will get to work for Microsoft, one of the most desirable employers currently. Good pay, great benefits, and most importantly, management that knows what they're doing. I think Xandr people have no idea how lucky they just got.

Um....no. You are not qualified!
Successful, dynamic businesses tend to not prefer hiring AT&T employees. Unionized workers have a reputation for being non productive and AT&T management have a reputation for being unable to think creatively or use common sense. Can't imagine why, but that's the perception.
MS doesn’t want any legacy T employees.
