Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Machine delays

So what's the deal? Chip shortage, Fuji giving x the big finger? Import issues? All of the above?

Lots of customers nation wide have been waiting months while services has been told to keep the old fleet running as long as possible. I'm in sales and am lucky x cut us our commission before install. Can this get any worse?

Tale of 3 little pigs would apply but I don’t think there any houses made of stone here and comparing companies in this industry to swine is an insult to pigs. Xerox is the house definitely made of straw; warehouse “restructuring” lack of supply control as its no longer a manufacturer and culture toxicity…but then straw is cheap and nothing is gonna stop the wolf anyway… might as well make a buck for the shareholders.

Please cite your source of news covering xerox machine shortages.

I'm aware of the current issues with shipping and delays. I am curious of which are excuses and which are actual reasoning.

OP, read some news articles for God's sake. Have you been living in a bo-b shelter the past 6 months? Stupid questions deserve stupid answers.

Don’t bet the farm that they will understand and be patient.
Just don’t bet on it. There are always alternatives.

I'm at a large dealer with multiple brands and I can tell you without a doubt that ALL the manufacturers have long wait times for equipment right now, regardless the originating reason. Anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. Worst I have seen is KonicaMinolta which is taking as long as 6 months, the rest seem to be in the 2 month range. It's effecting the entire electronics industry at the moment and we have no control over it. Any knowledgeable customer and most definitely anyone in IT understands this and will be patient.

Hold up… Xerox pays commission before the gear is installed??? I’m at a competitor and even if the world was ending they would NEVER pay out prior install. For all the stewpid xerox exhibits to my $ benefit, I get the sense xeroid reps are just self entitled paper mache babies. Keep it up please!
