Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

More Cuts Coming Q1 2022

Several of my closed sources in HR have communicated that they didn't lay off the entire list of people due to optics. There are close to 1,000 employees on the list and roughly 600 were laid off thus far.
Oh in case you all didn't know, Citrix laid off employees in HR and some of these employees had to deliver the bad news to those being let go knowing that they were laid off themselves!!
Imagine you having to tell someone they are terminated knowing you're also on that list?
This is the kind of thing you only see at Citrix.
Brace yourself for Q1 2022. The anxiety continues and if you were looking to buy a home or a car, THINK AGAIN.

They are accelerating going downhill, full throttle.

ELT did not have the courage nor the aptitude to manage their way out of this mess.

Instead they sold it to the highest (only) bidder so they can profit immensely off of it.

Bobby knuckles and Tony the gnome pulled it off

When I worked there back in 1997 to 2002, things were very different. It was a great company to work for, things really went down hill now. That is such a shame.

It’s turned into an absolutely ridiculous company to work for. This whole process is about dismantling a company that’s a dying star, with everyone along the way collecting as much cash as they can. Whether it’s Elliott, Board members, C suite, investors, or even employees hoping to get a severance balloon payment — this is exercise is only about liquidating a formerly viable software entity and getting as much $$ out of it before the brand fades away in the history books.

You forgot to mention that the executives they fire not only get the email " he/she left to pursue an opportunity elsewhere" but also that they leave with a briefcase full of cash so they can buy their next property in cash.

Blonde hair and blue eyes is real in there. I've worked with worthless people in HR who I still don't know why they haven't been fired. Oh yes I do know why, they are blonde...
If you stand up for yourself, you will be co-signing your exit from there. You'll be on a black list and you'll be gone during the yearly layoffs.
The comments below about being black people not being liked is real. Most don't get a promotion and this is the strategy to get them to quit.
I also see the same thing happening to a lot of Latin folks.
Oh and in case you all haven't noticed, if an executive gets fired, they don't say that. They email everyone saying such and such person "he/she decided to pursue an opportunity elsewhere". Lmao. Really? Do they think we are that stupid?

More cuts coming in Q1 but they will do it quietly. They wont do it like they did in November in order to avoid further backlash. It's going to be a few at a time until they cross everyone off the list.
Citrix DOES NOT promote black employees. Look at the ELT and their direct reports? Nada, zero.
If you start to see black representation at the top it will be because they have to "look good" in front of the diverse groups that are calling them out for not having any black leaders. They will literally recruit black folks to use them as puppets and faces but once the noise is gone, they will fire them by not promoting them.
Don't be fooled folks, Citrix does not want black people. They don't want t them in there. Your resume needs to come with blonde and blue eyes.

It's not about optics. It's about the WARN Act. If they keep it under 500 employees per quarter, they don't have to follow WARN. Adds another layer of sleaze to the sleaziness.

Whoa this has gotten just out of hand.
Is this why Citrix doesn't have much african American representation at the executive level? Have you all not seen that?
You must have blonde hair and blue eyes to go up ladder at Citrix.
People always talk about this behind closed doors.

Yes I'm aware of an HRBP and HR generalist who were delivering the bad news to employees knowing they were both also terminated.
That's sick. Makes me sick to my stomach.
