Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Cell Phone

My id--t boss says i cannot take my number when I retire. I know plenty of others who have taken there number with them when they left. Is there a form to fill out to get approval for the number, or is my boss correct?

Yep, you're correct.... your id&t boss... he should have suspected you were using company property for personal use... and then fired your a$$ on the spot! And then you whine when you can't have the phone number??? Go back to playing in your sandbox

Why would anyone in their right mind want to take a company number, unless you were one of those that was too cheap and violating the company's policy and using their phone for personal use.

They would let people do it with Verizon phones. Not sure if that is the same with T-moblie, so your boss probably has not clue. I wished you had a decent boss.

The number belongs to the company.
They normally reissue the number to another technician.
Sounds like you were using the phone for your personal use.
I give the numbers out to some of the important customers.
I don't use it on my personal accounts like shopping or bill pay.
