Spot on. Who decides what is fair compensation? The industry notorious for under-compensation of all but its senior leadership? The shareholders getting fat off our labor while telling the rest of us a 1.5% raise is acceptable?

Seems to me the rest of us are done with that definition of fair.

Notice the choice of their wording whenever discussing comp at this company: employees are "fairly compensated" vs "competitively compensated" - by design of course.
