Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Raises and bonuses

I know it's a silly question but I am curious if anyone has seen a raise or bonus?

I too put in my notice and was offered a bonus to stay, no raise thought. I am still moving on.

It seems the raise bit is only for the young or those in NC

Ex TSR here. I went out and got two solid job offers and took one. (Just started this week, and wish I had made the move long ago.)

When I gave my notice to Xerox, they called me twice to offer more money for me to stay. The first time they offered about $8K. The second time, they did not name an amount, but said I was in a good position to name my price.

I heard of a TSR in another state who was offered $10k to stay after giving his notice. He also declined to stay.

So it seems the best way to be offered a raise is to give notice.

Raises and bonuses were given to the employees who work in Cary, NC office. Xerox had to do in order to retain them, the job market is competitive there. After speaking to a few people it sounds like both the raises and bonuses where in the 5 figure range.

What a manager. Won’t talk to you. Hmmm Xerox really cares about their employees. Beyond a joke. They will show you by not talking to you. That’s your punishment. Gross mismanagement at all levels.

Post from TheLayoff.com

I can relate, sort of. I told my manager I wasn't taking the jab back in October when it was mandatory. She was mildly arrogant -- acted like my departure wouldn't hurt her team in any way -- and didn't speak to me for the next 2+ months.

Hey Ms. Platitudes while you're sulking can you complete this list of trash companies that do not currently match their 401k? I'll start:

  1. Tech Power House
  2. (continue on this line Ms. Platitudes)

Remember people …us losers get what we deserve.

Exactly! One of the best job markets in memory and no one wants you. Take this time to reflect on where you messed up in life.

handsome severance package

Now there is the solution for you, Ms. Platitudes! Maybe your worthlessness is actually worth something cause your retirement-challenged co-workers want you gone too.

Don’t be an arrogant jerk. Pride of ownership! You own what you said.
If i take it with pride then why are we all leaving? Because we have had enough of xerox. Period. Non transferable skills? Nope. If you can fix a copier or printer or network. You can pretty much get another job, as long as you are willing to work and show up. That’s what we are doing, until you come into this forum and call us all losers.

Sounds like a very bitter man that is confused about what people want.
At least we are trying. But I doubt that you care about anything that doesn’t directly affect you. Enough said.

I just quit and they gave me a pretty handsome severence package. Consult your manager about negotiating an exit bonus. You may be in for a nice raise

Not a chance pal.

Are you proud to have a non-transferable skill set and a delayed retirement, pal? Your employer treats you like garbage (because it is garbage) and you take it with pride?

Gotta love this guy. He’s a keyboard warrior with a beer and maybe a vendetta. Likely so.

Who died and left you in charge?
Nobody. Absolutely No one.

Yes I keep forgetting that we are all losers for even working at xerox.
Sure Glad that you are not a competitor who comes here to make himself look good and feel better about himself.

We all know xerox leaves a Lot to be desired. So we don’t need you here grading us on our decisions on what we do or say.

If you don’t want to hear people’s opinions, then don’t come here. It’s not that hard. But don’t call everyone ignorant or a whiner for not bowing to your grace. Not a chance pal.

Was it beyond the hefty amount just to BREAK EVEN after they took your 401K match away? You losers get what you deserve. The best job market around yet you're stuck there because you couldn't be bothered with keeping your skills current.

Kinda like robbing a bank with 4 people. After you get away with the money you shoot the other 3. So of course your gonna get a raise when your at the top. You don’t have to split the money anymore. Sound familiar at Xerox?

It's becoming more apparent that Xerox employees, particularly experienced field technicians, are severely underpaid. So many are leaving and and taking technical positions with other companies and getting big pay increases and much better benefit packages. If you need more that a year or 2 before you retire, you're best to take your money and get out before you lose everything.

Wow. Plenty. Wow. Why would anyone say plenty? Kind of like saying …I have too much money already. Really ?
With the cost of everything going up and inflation, how could you possibly have enough working here?
Do you have a printing press churning out 100$ bills in your basement?
Plenty….Hmmmm okay then.

That’s Hilarious. 🤣.
If you got a raise it’s only because you sold your soul to the devil.
They throw you a piece of lettuce 🥬 and then expect you to do 3 people’s jobs. That’s insanity.
