Time to shut ILR down

It’s beyond time to get rid of ILR. They can’t tell their head from their a-s and actively avoid work without any consequence from management. ILR brings absolutely no value to the organization. I mean come on… you’re a licensed adjuster but reassign simple claims with instructions “two moving vehicles”. Like no duh d-mb a-s. Accidents happens because cars move. Do your damn job!

I agree that ILR handling can be annoying, but they have managers on their a-s about comp neg like we do in complex, and their managers are more lame than ours are. My boss is a di-k always ready to shove the sh-t from the top down my throat and not take any questions. So we get “two moving vehicles” and “comp neg might apply” even when it’s obviously re--rded. Then my TM will tell me that I accept too much liability according to a spreadsheet of percentages of liability against the insured and blah blah blah. Of course the TM doesn’t know or care about how much of a mo--n the insured was on the recorded statement we took because he hasn’t taken a phone call from anyone having to make a decision on the spot in 20 years or ever really.

To the poster saying ILR folks are lazy and that I don’t know what clear liability is….you’re an id--t. I coach what clear liability is and handled tier 2 claims many many years. Do some get reassigned that shouldn’t…yes. Just as they have for over 20 years. Go paint your broad brushstrokes in your dungeons and dragons boy club.

Out of all the segments I send the most feed back to ILR because they constantly manipulate HAART to avoid work.
Seems their management has not accountability.

ILR has some of the laziest employees. The poster a couple down defending ILR has no idea what “clear liability” is. Somebody rear ending somebody and then reassigning for two moving vehicles is total bull sh-t.
A segment that brings nothing of value deserves to be cut.
This “two moving vehicles” BS has to stop and people in ILR need to do the work they are getting paid to do.
Just outsource it.

Ive often suggested that SF outsource its AILR/TL teams to another insurance company willing to hire people, and treat them well enough to retain them. It was an issue 5 years ago just as its an issue now. Its not working, and the metrics showing lowered operating costs ignores the cost of hiring/firing and cost to employee. Having the entry level handler roles be a revolving door also hurts downstream promoting and hiring for more advanced handling roles as well, and causes other departments to have to hire more off the street, which our training doesn't modify for.

They really need to review shifting some of the corporate love and money from executives and funnel a bit more to their core business, which will never happen.

I’m tired of their constant cold transfers.

OP must be new to role. It’s not simply two moving vehicles but anything outside of clear liability. Understand what clear liability is and come back and start again. I will say this, the poor claim handling is at all levels. But that’s what happens when everyone is overwhelmed. But yeah back to OPs message, ILR is absolutely critical and these people talk to damn near every customer. Of course some are bad but OP - clearly you’re as d-mb as a box of rocks yourself and don’t understand what falls outside of their role and it’s for good reason. Sit down, wipe off your drool, drink your warm coke and smoke a cigarette you id--t.
