Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Does anyone care about the future of this company?

Everyone pretends to be great managers and leaders while SF is just sinking more and more. It is impossible not to see that the path that SF is taking is wrong, however, everyone is silent about it, getting paid for a job that no one is doing. It often seems to me that the real problems in this company are totally neglected. If something good happens, it’s a matter of pure luck, not management and smart decision making.

Not too worry. After the 100 yr celebration, they are ripping the band aid off. They have done everything to stay number one at the 100 yr mark. Notice the worst und loss in history last quarter for auto.

@1onb…you say State Farm made $2B in 2020, but falsely claim they paid no dividend. It’s very very easy to lookup that they paid $2B in COVID dividend. Equal to the entire profit you claim they hoarded.

A toxic work environment. Not enough staffing for any department to do the job adequately. Growing policies……executives getting big MIP bonuses…..thats management incentive program..which is based on numbers……folks either quitting or retiring with no plan on replacing them……the executive leadership here is HORRENDOUS….section managers know its bad but there is a disconnect above them…..meanwhile the mutual company netted over 2 billion in 2020 and didnt return a divedend to the mutual policy holders…..long time ago employees were treated somewhat like family….and would go the extra mile…that stopped along time ago…..toxic…….

Titanic and a "captain" who doesn't know about the iceberg out there. All these policies and 1/2 the claims force. What could possibly go wrong?

Whether we like it or not…..State Farm is growing quickly and becoming more and more profitable. Which is what they want to do.
Good for most of us individually? Probably not. Good for the organization? Certainly.
