I think people who claim they're getting better offers are full of it. There's a lot wrong with EM but the pay is still decent. It's high enough that I'm yet to receive an offer that comes even close to it. I wish all of you are right and there are plenty of available jobs with amazing pay, but that simply isn't true. Don't give people false hope.

Going back to same industry, to a competitor and got 10% more. Maybe you need to try harder.
Why such a discouraging post?
If the OP didn’t get a better offer, that doesn’t mean someone else can’t. My friend, for example, got a job and will be paid 30 percent more.
Tech, finance and fintech especially are easily able to match EM salary. Get your head out of your a-s. O&G aren’t the biggest pay masters in Singapore anymore.
Anyone going to other majors can get a bump over current salary from EM.
