Thread regarding Optum layoffs

People who refuse to work overtime

I'm in the process of looking for a job. I would rather leave on my own than have Optum tell me to leave. That's why I'm interested in how people who refused to work overtime fared?
I constantly do an abnormal amount of overtime for one reason only: I don't know how my manager would react if I stopped working overtime.

There were teammates that put on wigs, chanted the corporate missionary aims, and sang the corporate theme song. These were your colleagues. Brainwashed fools. Let them sleep in their bed that they made and willfully participated in

Do you get paid for overtime? If so, that's up to you--however, due to capitalism, they simply do not want to hire additional staff +benies. So they of course take the cheapo route to enhance profiteering.

If you are working for free during overtimes, then that's work abuse and you need to seek out a lawyer as work slavery is not permissible in America. Stand up and stand strong.

Mandatory overtime should be made illegal. It makes no logical sense how instead of hiring more people (or at least have part time staff) MOPtum chooses to burn out their employees. Did some of that Flint water supply get re-directed to Eden Prairie?

I refuse overtime and my boss was an as----e about it. I wouldn’t go above 45 hr and he kept pressing me. He couldn’t make me do it though. Got a new boss and problem solved
