Do you ever feel like you were made to work harder because of your ethnicity? I believe my boss did. She demanded more of me and since I left, my peers have called me and confirmed my feelings without even knowing I felt this way. She comes out here a lot to read gossip so you know who you are and people are on to you.

Of course, I am black with an MBA. I manage folks with an Associates degree that make a little less than me. No, they are not black. I have the title but my pay does not match! If I was stacked up against my peers, I am sure that I will find that I make at least 25k less than them!
I was discriminated at work but luckily the leadership took action. It’s so easy to be discriminated at work if we are minorities.
Discrimination can be applied to all. I am white and over the years I had all Asians on my team, including the boss. Termed all that were not asian. The black person who was harassed and termed did make it to trial and lost. It took years for them to get rid of me but finally succeeded. Everyone knew what was going on but everyone is afraid to speak up. And yes I had a significantly more work than others. I believe 4 or 5 ended working my projects. Just so you know discrimination can affect anyone. And I have no interest in going against UHG or OptumRx in a discrimination lawsuit. But do I have a story to tell. Also no Asian hate here. Just happened to work with terrible immoral people that happen to be Asian.
It's true. Probably because they think minorities are less likely to sue the workplace. But then minorities don't really speak up when a lot of work is given to them and managers take advantage of that. When I left my workplace, I was told they had to hire 2 people to do the same job I did.
Minorities need to be more assertive. Like that Indian CEO that fired a bunch of people on zoom. He certainly didn't get to where he is by quietly doing all the work.
