Yeah, you wonder why so many companies where down... I guess they don't believe in building their systems in high availability or just that AWS technology totally sucks and is not working. Let's go AWS...
AWS just crapped out Tuesday (12/7/2021) in their East coast region... just read the news... Major outage... It is unbelievable how many company got affected by just one region having issues!! And companies want to move their stuff off the mainframe, you got to be kidding me?!?!?!
If you are a company, you must be nuts to run anything on any Public Cloud. Especially not your website that provides the main interface to interact with your customers!
Give it a few more years, the Chinese and Russians (and the other nut from North Korea) will have a ball taking down both AWS and Azure to bring the Western economies down to their knees.
Oh yeah and now the US military is bidding to run more of their sh-t on the 3 major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure and Google)... Holly cow!!!

“ AWS is a cr-p show today. Glad we didn't move to it.”
IBM cloud is a cräp show every day

IBM Cloud should host Parler. That will fix everything.
Parler’s de-platforming shows the exceptional power of cloud providers like Amazon

If you have a different ideology you can be de-platformed.
If I was a CEO I would not take that risk.
People are allowed to have different ideologies.
We all don't want flash mob smash n grabs in our neighborhoods.
Get over it
They've had this service for 4-5 years... It looks to me that they are not being very successful at moving entire mainframes to their Cloud. They have been able to move very small pieces only, only for the clients to find out they are not exactly saving that much money.
