Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

It could always be worse, I guess

I saw this article and I couldn't believe that there are places that treat employees worse than Citrix. I didn't think it possible...

It’s the way of the future. Why bother with all the false pretenses and emotional drama when firing or laying off people. The company and employees can move on as quickly as possible.
It is about as truthful as one can get in corporate America .

This is exactly what Citrix did! Only difference was the layoff occurred over Microsoft teams vs Zoom.

Even thought the CEO was very robotic and I don’t agree with his tone and what he said, at least he had the ba--s to show up and speak to his employees unlike B.C. who just sat back- shot out an email likely written by his assistant then made HR do the dirty work.

Never compare what you are going through to someone else's to justify your unhappiness. Life is too short fu-k that.

This is the most cost-effective method for laying people off. Say what you want, but this man just saved the company hundreds of man-hours worth of meetings> AND, he spared all his managers having to carry the guilt and weight of this decision.
Good job.
