Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Clearwater now hiring….

Using big banners out front like Dollar General or Burger King, FFS. With a big QR scan code on it. Why not just have a job fair at Oz strip club? FUBAR.

I’m sure it’s a great look pulling into Clearwater and seeing half the plant standing outside smoking cigarettes looking like pasty zombies hungry for overtime and $20 Christmas gift cards.

Honeywell wants a contract workforce. Hire on contract, and fire at first sign of any weakness with no obligation. Hon HATES paying benefits and severance packages. Remember leadership runs on the assumption that anyone con do anything because our systems are so great. And leadership wants young workers because no biases and will do whatever ever told and more energy. Leadership wants the next great app, not the next greatest propulsion engine. Lastly need a very diverse workforce, because it helps getting bloated government work.

@1qfs+1eaBthAQ, agreed. Letting lots of top talent take a package mid-program is a clue they don’t WANT talent above LCD level too.

Resorting to lowest common denominator job advertising practices pretty much guarantees lowest common denominator results (hires).

Same at Cedar Creek. Only the rats are still fleeing the ship faster than new ones can be conned into coming aboard. Looks like they are now down to finding vagrants who are able to at least pass their first pi$$ test.

2nd time in a week I’m hearing that new hires are only being filled with EEOC types. It jives with my experience where we were told not to bother hiring unless the candidate was a new grad minority or PR. 59th, 2015ish - don’t say it don’t happen.

How long for the (funny) “c” Org comment to get scrubbed?

Does the sign say “Honeywell can’t wait to ban remote work again” ?

I wonder if it says “we are so transparent I am just writing to say no bonus this year”. Like that email from the boss we got this morning.

In Mc Cook IL they had a sign in front of bldg like ones you see for Homes for sale but for hiring. Alot of us were like we for sale that would be the best thing in this world for us but our hope were shot since was for hiring only. Maybe next time.

Glendale had the same a couple weeks ago when I drove by last. It’s on the south facing wall of the outbuilding on 59th Ave where the city utility hookups are.

Fudging disgrace. All the formers I talk to agree it’s pathetic. I haven’t asked the inmates what they think of it yet.
