Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Constantly needing improvement

Does anyone else have a problem that no matter how much you work and no matter how well you work, the manager always makes remarks that you need improvement?

In my case, I think it's personal animosity that I'll probably resign very soon. I no longer have ideas on how to improve, other than by leaving Allstate.

Never take advice from someone you don’t respect and value as a person.

Maybe the comment below me should quit being so wet for Allstate and realize there are much better opportunities out there that give raises based on expected performance than finding a reason not to.

Just do the bare minimum until you get out. I’d look for another job.

All by design. You are never good enough so they can keep you buried in expected so they can give you minimal merit raise if any at all. I was BTE or equivalent every year in every role I was in from 20011 to 2019 and suddenly in 2020 and 2021 I was expected and actually did more and performed more towards the behaviors they said they wanted those two years. For 2022 if they want expected level work then expected they shall have.
