Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Better salaries and benefits

I am very interested in how the situation will develop in the future. Will this company eventually offer higher salaries and benefits when it realizes that talented people are leaving, or will it in a few years become a company of greatest mediocrities who stayed here just because they did not have another option?

Talent is definitely leaving the field staffs. The amount of staff that left Plano last year can be counted on one hand

More VP’s. When will they ever learn?

I've seen a handful of topnotch operators leave over the past few years and it had nothing to do with wages or benefits. This place and the morale of its people has really gone down hill over the past few years and it's unfortunate that Denbury doesn't give a sh*t. How many exit interviews are you willing to do before making necessary changes?

With some exceptions, I would say the majority of the “mediocrities” were let go during the layoff years.
Going forward, the company will have to pay higher salaries to entice new hires, but us old-timers will not get a significant bump. New people will come in making the same as the tenured staff, or more! That’s just the way it is.

If they bring back ESPP or LTI I hope it's enough of a discount on the stock to more guarantee money instead of everyone losing more each year like before. The grant price should be the low of that month or the average price from the previous month and LTI restricted stock should give you 25-50% more than if you chose cash.

Most of the people who I’ve seen leave actually suck. I’m good with them going to suck somewhere else.
