I hope all 3400 of them know that customer service skills aren’t really a requirement but pumping them calls through so your supervisor looks good is the main thing they’re really hired to do.

Even if you’re the top performer on your team, if you aren’t stretched to max capacity 100% of the time, you won’t get good feedback from your supervisor.

As long as the people they are bringing in are being told the truth. It's no longer a career.

Injury CS here , I support that our wages are behind the industry. What I make after multiple years handling claims is what most companies pay for new handlers. HR needs to be reviewed for their market analysis of the pay scale for claims.

They wouldn’t have the hiring problem if they got more competitive with the salary. The offered salary is a joke compared to what other claims departments in the industry offer. I’m also getting really sick of the mandatory overtime. Last week in huddle the TM said the reason for the backlog in tasks and phones is because people have called out sick or taken a day off. In my head I’m just thinking ok that’s this weeks excuse please explain the last six months then, and no it’s the lack of the employees needed to handle the amount of claims that come in. Then I think that this isn’t going to change or get better because of the sh-t pay, and bad work environment. If sh-t doesn’t change soon I’m looking at other companies. I’ve already updated my resume.

Well that makes the third such announcement in the last year in half. Where are all the employees from their previous efforts? Injury is still hurting. I think the word is out that the jobs they are hiring for are all in pressure cooker work environments and claims is not a sought after job. They should have started hiring for the increased policies three years ago! They really think that someone will be proficient in couple of months? Claims is a wreck now with poor morale and dismal technology that creates even more work. Wait for more departures in April after the bonus. This is just another desperate attempt to keep pounding the square peg into a round ho-e.

Lots of experienced ex-employees out there to reach out to. You know...the ones who lost their jobs when the hubs were built.
