Does USAA offer severance with layoff? And what is it based on? Role/years?

Yes there's a severance policy. It's based on years of service OR a formula based on annual salary, whichever is greater.
As an ex USAA employee who was laid off in 2018 after 15 years, they do offer a severance and it’s based on the number of years of service. Don’t quote me but I believe it’s one weeks pay for every year of service.
