Direct quote from my manager today who also told me he's now looking for a new job. Guess these calibration meetings are going well.

Quarterly career conversations? Is that actually a thing here? I can't ever remember my manager talking about anything related to career development.
Like every year my department hasn't breathed a word about goal setting, raises, caring that we exist...
We've lost half our department over the past year and management hasn't said a word. I wonder what the turnover rate is overall in USB.
Interesting-we haven’t heard anything from management besides-complete one people place. You know the place where we are supposed to update our quarterly career conversations.
General rule of thumb:
If salary is $100k its 150% of the salary to onboard someone new
Considering the call center has horrible attrition rates right now, there are millions of dollars walking out the door every month in terms of employee costs. But hey, the stock is up right?
They don’t respect the employees in pay or benefits. Metlife is cheap. Does not spread the wealth to employees. They basically suck all around.
Michele should forfeit his $ so that the peons can have a raise and real AVIP.
What does it cost to replace an employee as a percent of the salary, on average?
They can't afford 13%. Black jacket needs a new jacket for every day of the week. Maybe some matching assless chaps too.
Avip cut
Had a team meeting with my boss.
The topic of adjusting the pay scales came up (remember how Michel made that big announcement last year and then...nothing?). Boss had heard no news regarding pay scales.
Also indicated that "don't expect to be amazed by your raises." I told my boss that we should be expecting AT LEAST a 13% raise to catch up to inflation. "Well I can promise that's not happening." My question back, "Why?" No answer available.
Did you know that Met authorized $3B in stock buybacks back in August of 2021? I wonder where our raises went?
I always wonder when someone votes down a comment like @1ezq+1eMaz4qO
Is it because they agree the situation is BS?
Or is it Todd F?
Ge-z people, I don't understand all of the complaints. Don't worry, Michel will still get a good bonus, you have nothing to worry about.
Don't expect a good bonus either, at least that is the word on the street.
Adjusted for inflation, I make less money now than I did when I started with the company. And then insult to injury, the cost of our "benefits" has gone up. In all, I'm netting almost 15% less than 5 years ago. What's the point of slogging away if I'm just becoming poorer in the process?
@1ypc+1eMaz4qO now now, Mikey won't get a raise. They'll just give him some more stock options that they'll then turn around and do buybacks on. Why reward the people doing the work when you can reward the shareholders?
Inflation! WTF
Nobody? This cant be true. I am almost certain our CEO will be thrilled with his raise. He will likely go from about $15M to $16M.
