Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Why do you hesitate to leave?

I'd love to get out of here, but I'm still here. It may sound weird, but I really don't know why I'm hesitant to leave. I know other people who have the same problem - they want to leave but do not send any applications.
Maybe it's the fear of a new beginning?
Maybe the subconscious is telling me that nowhere is ideal?

Like a toxic relationship. Many can't leave. It's the that cycle of abuse. They think this time it will be different or things may, can, or will "change". Except NOTHING /very little changes. Real, structural change in the US empire is akin to turning around an aircraft carrier in a bathtub.

Corporate Stockholm Syndrome is why they don't leave and or defend their masters and overlords.

Listen to the boss. Be an obedient good worker. Work hard. Don't question anything. Just obey. Don't be critical of anything. Work hard. Get into debt. Work hard. Wave a flag. Eat hot dog. Listen to the boss

Likely it will be a lateral move bc most US empire jobs are horrible. And it will never ever change. The empire needed (past tense intentional) lackeys and sheep to man the corporations and get their overlords as much dinero as possible for capitalistic lusting.

It's about moving the needle to the intersections of quality, coordination, and economic hustling. We all need to get that puck near the goal and win the metrics and help our pocket books. How does that make you feel?

I don't leave because I am lazy and not motivated. I am the ideal employee from what I see on a daily basis.

It takes initiative. Most people would rather just follow a set course, only changing when forced. If you care about your future... chart your own course.
