Is everyone graded underperforming in one area automatically put on PIP?

@kosv+1eLosZGN I would agree, also the manager who gave you the rating knows you are desperate to stay even despite an underperforming rating, surely that power dynamic is not in the employees best interest. The manager now controls your life and career starting with no pay rise or bonus. Submission at its finest.

Curious if you got rated under performing why would you stay to undertake a PIP? Isn’t the humiliation and indignity of the rating not enough to hit the escape button?

It not just the rating, but no pay rise and little to no bonus is salt in the wound is it not?

Why subject yourself to such a scenario is puzzling to me.

The most contentious part of the new system is its 50% "How" part.
What you actually deliver ("What" part) in exchange for your salary is now only 50% important (80% previously). The new 50% "How" is being used to justify any "underperforming" rating, no matter how many actual deliverables you have brought to this company.
