Flexible work solutions

Just curious. For those of you that came in after September 2021, were you giving remote work option right off? Or did they tell give you stipulations? I’m trying to understand how people coming in after me are able to work remote. I have been here and can’t get a direct answer. My leadership claims to have no clue if we are able to or not.

Insert shocked emoji - "I know one manger who was having the entire team come in because one person was less productive."

Now that is some BS right there! But I have a feeling that manager would of found something to justify (in their mind) everyone coming back in even if everyone had been at peek production.

@jnbz+1eLlvPzj WOW that is soo terrible. I hope they don’t have to come in everyday of the week. Had the conversation again last week and was still told they have no clue what is going on. There was still no info on our work place flexibility from leadership. I asked HR and was told it was up to my people leader and HR Business Rep. So, frustrating.

It is all up to your leadership. As a leader I was in all the meetings outlining the new flexible work week. They specifically said 60% have been as protective or more productive as they were in office, but 40% were less. So they were leaving it up to the manager. I know one manger who was having the entire team come in because one person was less productive.

@ @7kud+1eLlvPzj My goodness. Well at least you all are having the conversation. My leadership spoke about it in September and we haven’t heard anything else about it. When they spoke about it they just basically repeated what we had already heard, just an announcement. Outside of the company emails that everyone receives. So, frustrating.

Ours was just implemented in January, and they attached stipulations to it and everyone was warned it could be changed without warning. We had the same thing that no one knew what was happening.

Thank you. That’s exactly my thoughts. However, my team is being told there is no answers at the moment and leadership is in limbo. We are being told it’s not their decision. I just don’t understand the hold back. We aren’t even having the conversation outside of us asking randomly.

As a manager, that seems odd. The flexibility initiative went live around October. This allows for employees flexibility like hybrid, 4 day work weeks, or fully remote. There are some stipulations based on role. Your manager should 💯 received the same guidance and attended the same meeting we all did.
