Thread regarding IBM layoffs

How's 2022 going for you so far? Hopefully better than it is for IBM Cloud

Christmas is gone and so, it seems, was a chunk of Big Blue's service

IBM has always started out a new year with re-org’s and “fast starts” How has that worked out for IBM? Lower sales, and higher customer dissatisfaction going on for 20 years. Brilliant guys just brilliant. I guess agile doesn’t apply to management. (Even Einstein is rolling his eyes) IBM needs to cull the management herd and adopt some new thinking. Jim Whitehurst saw the rot that IBM management has become, but was encouraged to leave as the board didn’t want to change. (too disruptive) You will know when IBM wants to change. It’s when 50% of the management overhead is eliminated and new sales tactics and innovation are adopted. Until then that, enjoy the re-org as your customers disappointment is apparent (thats why enterprise legacy slowly bleeds away)

It called the IBM "fast start"....to nowhere. But eventually IBM will get there....to the END

"Sales chaos is the norm for IBM in the Jan/Feb timeframe with management often changing rep accounts/quotas without any prior warning and good reasoning. "

That sounds like an excuse... how about IBM stops doing this S-h-i-t every year and gets to work to have a great Q1 for once.

IBM is in the middle of another re-org in the Sales org under Rob Thomas... It is panic everywhere. People don't know where they are going to land, who their customers are going to be, etc... It is going to take through the first quarter for that re-org to settle, and for people to actually start doing some work. Q1 2022 is going to be a disaster for sure.
