No matter how hard you work and the amount of knowledge you have, you are not safe at Anthem. The company will have no problems laying you off if they can find somebody who'd be willing to do your job for less money. The new hire doesn't know as much as you do? They don't care. If the person costs less, he or she is automatically more valuable. It makes no sense in the long run, but that's the way it is.
