Dell is always laying off but don't expect one big hit they do it in groups of 100 to 150 spread out in separate actions so they can skirt the Federal and State rules on notification etc. As far as the "diversity" hiring/firing its BS and we all know and that includes minorities and women but its the way of the world. All about placating the media appearing to be woke ( hate that word, when did street talk become a movement?) Women are like any of us if they can take advantage of the current nonsense that white males are the root of all evil and that by hiring more minorities and women a company will be better just on that action alone, just as a white male would if the tables were turned. Just look at your TV and see sudden misrepresentation of races that has suddenly happened, white males gone, Black and Females in even if the numbers are tremendously skewed beyond the percentage of each group in our society. Its just the way it is and Dell will always play that tune while Michale D buys more and more expensive homes and toys and lays off more and more folks with out remorse. He's an a-s.

That they will hire the majority of employees that identify as a woman and in most management positions.
I have worked in technology positions my whole time at 5 different companies with many woman that are excellent in their jobs. But to exclude half of the work force from advancing to make a goal is a ki---r for morale of men who apply for positions and during the interviews at Dell are informed that they have to hire woman to meet a quota goal.

I am in the know, and there are plans to get rid of 4,500, no severance either as jobs are plentiful for people. Were getting rid of males only as we need to keep the female and others numbers up

As much as a considerable percentage of employees deserve to be laid off, I think Dell is going to keep whoever they can get over the next two years minimum since the better employees are quitting or being poached.
