If I knew if we were a credit card company, a gaming company ( Xbox and PlayStation) , an insurance company, an internet company or a cellular company, why don't we worry about our network that is getting crappier by the day, or our pos system that makes my job harder, and stop worrying about all this stupid sh-t. People come to us because they want their phone to work, and work well, not to get a credit card or an Xbox, this company has lost direction!!!!!
Maybe you need to learn to work for/with african american females? They do exist and seems it is a skill you are lacking somehow.
If they stop promoting African American females. Majority of them are very difficult to work with, and we lose productivity bc of it.

Talk about innovation, how many cell companies sell insurance for your T.V.?? How many sell water bottles with built in battery chargers, or Roombas, he-l we even sell computer keyboards, mice and the ever popular surge protectors, and don't forget the thumb protectors for your PS4 controller....the people at the top have no clue what they are doing to this company!!

If I had a chance at promotion (I’m a non desirable - aka not beneficial to the quota - Caucasian male so making it up the ladder seems difficult, per my boss). Seems ironic that teams can be compromised of all one gender or ethnicity, just not white males. Sigh.

I'd be happier if we stopped pretending things where normal and support our retail stores employees with appropriate hours. Damn! You keep looking for answers ?! If your not fully staffed then the store is 1 shift and closed on Sundays. Whoever created and approved the levers should be fired!!!

I want to post this again since it is at the bottom and I would copy this verbatim on a survey about our company and its leaders. If only I could rate all the corporate shills 8 out of 10 just so they decelerate in their metrics and make less money as a leadership team.

Also replace upper leadership, time to clean house and get a new CEO that cares about the employees well being not making their job worse for half the pay. Whoever is in charge of pay structure...fire them and get a competent team. Also if they come out with new brands. The customer has had the same exact accessory choice for decades. Time to see what sells and carry it...nothing is worse than a customer saying they don't like what you have to offer and buys the ard from Amazon as you process the order. Oh and if they stop putting our paychecks in the hands of the customer as well...on a 1-10 score we HAVE to score 9 or 10....so 8 and below is a failure and we suffer when one customer wants to take their bad day at us and then we lose money as a team. If I had a tablet and system that works!! I have never had a harder time ringing things up or God forbid I have to go back a screen cause the customer changed their mind last second. They took something that worked and they destroyed it leaving us with the sh-t bo-b we call 2.0 and 360. Lastly if they got rid of the useless once a month mandatory morning meeting forcing us to work weird split shifts for the day so you can hear patty from HR make jokes about her cats and hear the fake cheerleading of the DM and above to work harder and sell more while they collect a 6 figure salary to pretty much talk on zoom all day about the same metrics and how they must have more. No incentive...we just need more for less. Tell them if they double the metrics we will think of filling the fridge (yeah that helps pay inflation on life necessities)."
I'd be happier if: Our COO realized her decisions physically and mentally harm her retail employees. By being open 7 days/week at full hours in understaffed stores she is responsible and should be legally held accountable for creating an abusive atmosphere. Y'all need to stand up! Are we alone down here?
Maybe if we had pos systems that would function properly. Maybe if we had realistic quotas. Maybe if we had incentives. Ahhhh nahhhh that's too much for big red to handle. Just slap them with a survey and take their money, the rest is for Hans.
I couldn't give one if I found a Fu-k to give at this shithole company. Nothing works from systems to activations to prepaid to our in store printers to the bpk. Literally nothing works properly. I gave up years ago. I just shrug and tell the customer to maybe try t-mobile?
I feel like the way they train us need improvement. I work in customer service and I was told to answer the phones before my training was finished. I didn’t even finish learning about billing and credits. Unfortunately customer service is completely focused on billing, or people being on hold for 2 hours. I feel like they need to train us properly before forcing us to answer a call because of us being short staffed. I rather be knowledgeable then have a customer on hold for over an hour because I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s a good company but I wasn’t too happy about that.
It’s pretty easy - Remove RIS from payouts and build upgrades into commission again like before as a multiplier. Add Spiffs for the Visa Card / Step Ups instead of 30 day stretch goals.
Maybe also stop bringing in these wild accessories like chargeable water bottles and off brand wireless chargers that don’t even include a wall adapter that are stupidly over priced.
Post below this one is 100% factual... Anyone above a GM is useless and could care less about anything but numbers. We are Verizon 2.0 working it's like 1.0 !! Our DM would tell us to through out 1.0 and 2.0, we are just Verizon.
Noone knows what to do, do we upgrade on the tablet or on the app? Do we have phones or not ? do we ship them devices or have them go to Best buy or apple? We don't get paid for upgrades so why do them? Do we help everyone walking in and burn out the little staff we have on or go the appointment route and cherry pick the new lines ?
NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WE ARE DOING!!
Oh and now the flavor of 2022 is data step ups!! So process upgrades through the tablet but hurt the rest of your numbers for $400 ? And reps don't care about the other metrics because there is no accountability, the reps have managers and above by the ba--s!!
I'd be happier if we had a full staff and realistic hours that didn't get us beat up all day. DM and above either are clueless, heartless or helpless if they aren't actively trying to adjust hours and fight for human dignity. Shame on the GMs that hide in their office. You are a weak leader and poor excuse for a human. We see you cowards! We know the truth.
I remember @4awd. It started before that but it was a big push toward consulting selling and they wanted to be like Apple stores. The problem was regional directors and managers didn't follow it. They ignored it all and just pushed people to drive numbers and even do things against the code of conduct. A girl in our store was fired for doing exactly what her RM told her to do - add a case then credit it against the store so it was free to the customer but got his accessory he needed, and he refused to defend her. She was young and didn't know this was against code. She just did what her boss said. He is still a RM in Phoenix.
Anyone remember that small glimmer of hope in 2019 when in retail stores it was all about us employees and the customer? A shift was starting where we were not allowed to talk about numbers, in fact it was forbidden and we were told it was actually a customer first mentality when on the sales floor. Then 2020 came and verizon did a hard 180 and said “not today jr”.
Maybe if we had a district manager that actually motivates managers. Passive aggressive slack messages do not motivate your managers !! If you can not motivate me, how motivated do you think I am to motivate my team. Your constant questioning our commitment and saying we are leaders and we need to lead is very demoralizing and you should really look at why an assistant manager stepped down to be a rep, 2 GM's have quit in the last 6 months and you have zero assistant managers that want to step into a GM role. Your lack of leadership, Micro managing and barking orders in slack is not how to district manage your stores. Does your director talk down to you like you talk down to us?
Also if you want sales reps to give a cr-p and actually care than you need to scrap "workouts" and bring back accountable coaching, hold people accountable for their individual numbers and we can move the slackers along that don't want to be here or even try . We know which director came up with the "workout" idea and frankly this person needs to be fired, you single handlely created a poor, lazy work environment.

Focused on making money period. Stop messing with the same employees you want to produce for you create a great environment to work in. Most importantly speak truth to power even when it goes against there position for fear of losing your jobs stop applauding poor leadership be honest.
