No wonder this company is sinking.

KCAs have never had any correlation to the yearly bonus structure. Anyone can get a KCA, at any time of the year, if their Manager, etc believes their work efforts qualify them for one.
@3ulj+1eDqST5B because they were also performance-based. Not everyone in Ops got them, and I suspect each VP within Ops set their own criteria for who qualified and how much each person got based on the amount that was allocated to their org.
So why did some get it when they also receive corporate bonus and some don’t?
My understanding is KCAs were only done within Operations. Largely due to almost zero corporate travel during 2021 because of Covid, there was going to be a budget surplus (within Operations) at the end of the year. Surprisingly, rather than pocket the money, they did the KCAs instead.
They know exactly what they’re doing. They’re looking at the bottom line. Nothing else matters at all. They’re continually pushing the limit and increasingly cutting costs while doing just barely enough to skirt legal issues (and often failing at that). It’s a house of cards that will go down. But they don’t care. They’re not here to do good business or around for the long term.

They didn't give a reason as to why no Key Contributor Award? Do you know if anyone else on your team is getting KCA?
I had thought it was for non-bonus eligible jobs, but others have posted that they are receiving both bonus and KCA.
That really sucks if they won't give you at least an explanation, especially if others on team are receiving.
Maybe some departments/teams are not eligible. Are management level employees eligible to receive KCA?
I don't know, but I feel for you, it's worse being left in the dark than just being left behind. I hope you get some answers soon.
Good luck.
I’m over this not knowing and to deny compensation stating I wasn’t a key contributor… hold up… are you fuckkkkking kidding me… perfect everything and doing multiple jobs.. well if you denied me that.. I deny you production.. I’ll do what I can I’ll no longer contribute myself to do three ppl jobs.. no more … they will lay us off before bonus anyways.. and they will pay me for OVER 10 year of dedication and loyalty!!! Fuckemmmm
Yeah I just wing it too...hoping for layoff next month so I can get severance which can give me time to look for proper job since we barely have any vacation time to start the year.
I agree. Everything is just all over the place with no direction. I feel like I wing my workday everyday.
I'm just surprised the situation is not even worse.
