Why are people shocked to learn employees are leaving for lower pay? I think it's perfectly understandable. It's been years since the pay was my number one priority when it comes to my job. The things that I prioritize now are perks and benefits, work-life balance, and what kind of a person my boss is. Pay is important, but it's not and it never should be your only consideration.
