I've decided to start the new year thinking positively. Yes, XOM is a mess right now, but I still believe things can change for the better. All we need is new leadership that will move the company in the right direction. My hope for this year is to see the current leadership finally pay for all they've done to this once great company by being replaced with competent people who'll do as much as they can to undo the damage. It's not likely, but it's not impossible either.

I think you are a manager … go back to LinkedIn. That’s where you belong.
You saw the LMM / LDC video - Nothing is going to change. 2021 was the best year they have ever had. Don’t worry about people but reduced unit opex
@icc Snakes might have been a better analogy. Vermin at least maintain a modicum of mammalian dignity; the same cannot be said for serpents.
@icc+1eC2ZYgK Are you referring to our friendly neighbors here at Clinton, NJ?
Have you ever seen vermins suddenly stop being vermins?
That's right.
"All we need is new leadership that will move the company in the right direction."
That's asking a lot, especially considering that, at least, the top three to four layers of management across the companies are copy and paste of each other. You would have to clean house in a massive way to get different results. There's very little individuality in the leadership of this organization.
Yeah... Keep watching for that next falling star and make your wish....
The current leadership and those going in to believe they are some sort of aristocracy and can govern accordingly… I truly believe things need to change! But I expect they won’t as the leadership will continue to protect itself and barely or falsely recognise the efforts of those holding their business together
I can tell who got a jug of Pr0zac from Santa.
This type of post isn’t even worth answering, just one more posted by HR/management tasked with “lifting morale”.
No real person is that stu_pid.
Good Luck! ~Bill K.
Not trying to be an as----e here… but your positivity and optimism are only going to be met with disappointment and regret that you decided to stick around. There are no absolutely no signs of the change you’re hoping for. The problems are deeply systemic and fueled by incompetence, greed, selfishness, pride, and so on and so on. Don’t let the company lull you into a false hope for a bright future. You and everyone else can do better and deserves better than this place. At this time, the market is HOT and now is the time to jump ship before it sinks further. I am outta here at the end of this week and regret not doing it earlier.
I’m sure the tooth fairy will be bringing us new leadership. I’m expecting nothing new.
Hope in one hand, sh-t in the other.
It is impossible.
