Strong message coming from well connected colleagues... Watch for the layoffs in January; evidently there will be a HUGE amount RIF'd etc. No word on any VSPP package. I have not heard this rumor this strong before, either!

Desk Based Sales will be depleted by 2Q/2022. Poor performance, High turnover, and Incompetent leadership has doomed another segment of Lumen.
If Lumen didn’t get some of the Federql contracts, they would be bankrupt.

It’s the Lumen way. These guys are lying, snake oil selling criminals. They don’t care about the job, the employees or the customers. They only want corrupt sales reps, stooge yes boy managers and contractors willing to work for Pennie’s. By the end of this year they’ll have their way.

Well, anyone who would want to do this type of work has something going on. Most people would never do this. Good chance you'll never get rich from this job, and if your body holds up from the stress day in and day out you'll be very lucky.
Out of the yard in 20 minutes,healthvue,no idling your vehicle,health certificate,otm ,mandatory adays, watch your repeats, call b4 during and after. Mean while boss doesnt do a damn thing.

I just heard the same thing a few days ago, this time they are looking at 50+ BB/Net techs in the Phoenix area. The Company has been offering VSPP in the 1st qtr for a number of years, but back to back Qtr's in RIF I don't remember that happening.
I have my doubts of this rumor. We are struggling everywhere with mandatory overtime even in the winter and constantly having to send guys out of town to fill other markets. Maybe another vssp to get rid of senior guys and back fill with prem monkeys.
