The voluntary return to the office is a farce!!

The voluntary return to the office is a farce!!! We are relying on the honor system for employees to report vaccination status, well guess what, not everyone is vaccinated and are walking around the office without masks. Either have all employees produce evidence of vaccination or risk a major lawsuit if someone dies from COVID exposure.

"Milk This Pig for What It's Worth," was the name of the know-nothing Fido phone rep who provided below sub par customer service to me yesterday. I weep for the future.

@1ceh+1e7SGC13, why don't you chill the f--- out. I'd rather milk this pig for what it's worth. The "you can just leave" is the same mentality as the parent who threatens to pull the car over. Retire already boomer!

Currently, the majority of ICU COVID patients in NH, where they actually do live free until they die, are unvaccinated. Now, that's truly a pathetic example of what's wrong with this country.
Germany locked down their unvaccinated people. I wish the US would.

Michael, you need discipline that only the US service can give you, join the Marines, you are in the wrong field. Don’t make this political Michael, you must be another “Meat Head”.

Again Michael, I don’t give a rats a-s about who is vaccinated or not. The point is that if a company asks unvaccinated id--ts to wear a mask you do it. If you id--ts don’t like it you have the freedom to go work someplace else. Get it Michael?? BTY Michael, you are not entitled to anything in this world, you need to earn it and get out of your mothers basement.

Yeah, it's a power move by the leadership team. And hey, don't forget to attend your in-person group meeting to understand why coming into the office is so, so important for boomers, I mean, associates to live their dream and to build an orgasnic company couture. Pffft...

@vbh+1e7SGC13 What make you think that the OP has a valid concern? I ask again - if the mRNA shots are so effective, why should the OP be concerned with the vaccination status of others around him/her?

There seems to be an implication that the unvaccinated are the only ones that can transmit the virus. Since the mRNA shots do not induce sterilizing immunity, both vaccinated and unvaccinated alike are capable of transmitting the virus.

The mRNA shots were intended to reduce the severity of symptoms once infected. It can be argued that they are not extremely good at that, and not for very long or boosters would not be necessary. Further, the more effective the shots are at reducing symptoms, the more likely it is that the vaccinated person will spread the virus since they are less likely to know that they are infected!

Masking is ineffective at stopping the spread of a virus when using anything other than an N95 mask, worn properly and swapped out regularly. Cloth masks and standard surgical masks are far too porous to stop the spread of an aerosolized virus. Rather, masking is simply a visible sign of compliance. Perhaps well-intentioned, but ineffective nonetheless.

@ote+1e7SGC13 There is a difference between viral respiratory infectious diseases and STD. Your use of a strawman argument does not validate your point. The OP has a valid concern.
Secondly, vaccine status is not HIPPA protected. The company already knows a lot of private information about you - your age, address, ssn, salary, your spouses and kids SSN etc. Disclosing true vaccine status is not even close to that PII information.

If the price for entering the office is to share my personal medical information with the Firm, then price is simply too high.

What's next? Will we need to start sharing HIV status? Ever had an STD? Have some past history with substance abuse? Maybe we need to tell the Firm if we have diabetes or high blood pressure, since those ailments make us more expensive employees from an insurance standpoint.

Anyone who willingly shares personal medical information is foolish.

Thanks for proving my point as you are one of the unvaccinated id--ts walking around the office.
