Free shares

Wonder what Mike has done about the shares for staff. He has talked on 2 occasions about them, and on the last occasion he apologised for not progressing and said he was going to take personal responsibility for looking into the issue. Luckily he didn't hand it to HR.

Wonder if Mike will achieve on this.

Has anyone had an email or update from Mike?

When any decent company gives a share scheme it usually at significant discounted share prices or free matching shares.

Otherwise what's the point of a plan, you may as well buy them on the open market at flexible prices/timing and you can sell whenever you need to.

I don't recall any mention of GIVING stock to employees. The only program I've hear discussed is an employee stock PURCHASE program, and there was no comittment to a discount either.

Bribing staff with equity to keep them loyal?

Most likely the staff would want to sell them anyway before they nose dive further.

Having employee morale plunge with the share price (which it will) is not such a good idea. There are safer ways to perk employees up, higher pay, more job security and decent management, all help.

On this one Mike did say he was personally going to sort out, so if he doesn't then that's not showing good leadership.

You would think we would have heard something by now, doesn't take that long to hold a teams call and progress.

Hmmmm, a typical DXC incentive. We’ll promise a share plan / option / giveaway to the employees. Then we’ll take a few years to implement it, by which time the shares will be completely worthless as DXC won’t have any major clients left.
