I told my family that I will never buy another Ford vehicle again and not to ask for a-x-z pins as I won’t be giving them out.
I am so disgusted with the discrimination going on in the company.
It's just a job. Not a career.
Visteon V 2.0. Ford is well experienced at mistreating select employee groups.
Only thing that came up was the lost of health care benefits for retirees. No one could believe Ford actually did that injustice to their retirees!
Never came up. Have left the life sucking politics behind when I retired last year. Only discussion from my family was I look better and am happier. Wonder why.
Other than talking about my retirement and how happy I am to no longer be an employee of that sad organization, there was no discussion of Ford. I did, however, find my grandfather’s Ford performance review from 1966. (We are doing some remodeling, which is resulting in me going through some old folders and papers.) The upshot of his review and his notes on the PR meeting - despite the fact that he is an excellent worker who does a great job in his position, there will be little opportunity for increased wages or promotion in the coming year due to the state of the department.
There’s nothing new under the sun.
My family discussed NEVER buying another poor quality Ford product, including tickets to Lions’ games.
Why would I advocate for a company that actively participates and encourages age discrimination. Treats their long term loyal employees like garbage. Cares nothing about producing quality products and has only fevered dreams of being a tech company so they can try to capture people's private info to sell. Are you kidding me? My family us will familiar with what I go through at Ford and has no interest in wasting our precious time together with me playing Ford salesman. Ford should straighten up their act and stop their bad behavior if they want people to respect them. Sorry the corporate heads didn't figure on what happens when you sc--w your employees and the multiplying effect each story has on their family and friends.
Don't buy anything new from Ford, all agreed, good.
One of the very few things all agreed.
No. The focus was outside of work and more important things. We don't need the negative talk anymore. I they offer packages next year. I will take it along with the LUMP SUM. Then I will not have to talk automotive ever again :)
Are you nuts?
Nope, I spent my time enjoying the day with my family. Why would I ruin it talking about Ford?
No - too hard with the Lions stinking up Thanksgiving day.
Ford was a sore topic on Thanksgiving, but it didn't go for too long. We didn't want to ruin a great day.
Between the traditional meal and the Lions on TV there was already too much turkey talk.
