I had the vaccination. I did it for my own personal reasons. This is not just a political issue because I see people on both sides agree on one thing or another. Where I have a problem on this is why was salaried employees singled out? Does the Oval not value the hourly people?? Billy says we are one happy family are we not?
So, if this is a so-called Federal Mandate then why are the UAW people left out? They actually touch and build said Federal Government vehicles every day. Second, we work from home! Now the company came up with this Hybrid WFH Plan which to me smells like something you step on the lawn once in a while and has an unpleasant odor. For one I recall hearing we need to come in so we can sit in a room to idea generate:). Yeah, like when did we ever do that prior to COVID??? Let's see a show of hands!!! That is pure 100% BS. How many times do you see whole sections on a web x for the same meeting? So, stop insulting people intelligence.
Now there are legitimate times people come in (Builds, test, calibrators, etc...) Those are your only legitimate times. The rest is BS. I sat in 2-3 town halls last year listening to two VPs & a President telling us we were never going back to the office. And you will not be forced to come in. I recall employees were asking if you had to live in state? The answer was no provided you had the approval of your team leader.
Now for those who do come in on a regular basis they should be taken care of during merit time. I have no problem with that. So, I hope they offer packages next year. Time to take the LUMP SUM and find another job. I do not believe anything that comes out of the mouths of our senior management. I do not trust them either. Look how they handled the HC for those under 65yrs of age. The fact they rolled this out after the VSSP was closed and approved. That demonstrates lack of courage and trust. When I go, I will not support the company as long as this regime is in power. We are held accountable for our actions, but no one was held accountable for the millions wasted on that train station. Sorry use your own family money not the companies.

Once my boss told me something to the effect "at Ford, we think about a policy thoroughly, deliberate over it, gaming is done in the "war room", and then a decision is made. Once its decided, its final. The employees WILL follow it. And I think that is how it should be"
Looks like the opposite this time. Ford did not think about it (the vax mandate), no deliberations were probably done and no one probably thought about this big of a backlash. This time I have a feeling employees decision will be final. And Ford WILL follow. aka roll-back the vax mandate.
Fed contractor thing will be a tricky thing to navigate though.
On that other post, from what I read, other than a couple people showing the middle finger to Ford (LOL), nothing was offensive as such.....most people were just giving there opinions....powers that be effect....
Its interesting that the last comments there were about 20 posts being removed and that someone has all the snipping's ....and then bo-m ....you cant comment anymore....
Made many thousands today alone, shorting the markets. Most people have to work all month for that kind of income.
