It was a regulatory mistake. Windstream and CLEC should have never happened.
No benefit to consumers, businesses customers, or the public. Government failed us across the board.
Truly a company and leader with no vision. Told them to plow fiber to every remote in early 2000’s. What do they do. Give a free ROKU to everyone so 30 people can stream on 4 T-1’s. Heard a planner state no customer ever needs more than T-1 speed. It was time to go then. Spend billons on CLEC’s that where just churn machines. Could have built a super network with that but we just watched it slowly go down the septic line.
CLEC stockholders laughed all the way to the bank. When bean counters are running the show it is time to cash out. The only drive it to the sl------r. With vison and industry knowledge company could have been viable for decades but at least Tbag got his.
Frontier too! They're thieves as well.
