Love the haters that chose to challenge the posting of the ongoing stream of recalls and skyrocketing warranty costs. In the days past at Ford, vehicles were designed and validated, suppliers didn’t hate us, we didn’t buy everything from China, and customers loved our CARS and trucks. Not even close to the truth today. Suck it up, we have earned our reputation.
Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021 Ford Bronco Sport models due to a safety issue with the moonroof glass.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the moonroof glass panel could have inadequate bonding.
The hazards: a detached glass panel can become a road hazard, and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.
Components: moonroof glass panel.
Affected vehicles: select 2021 Ford Bronco Sport models produced between April 27th, 2021 and May 25th, 2021 at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant.
Number of vehicles affected: 1,036 vehicles.
The fix: dealers will inspect the moonroof glass date code and replace the glass, if necessary, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on November 29, 2021. The Ford reference number for this recall is 21S46.
