So if cad$220K and usd$175K are pretty close, but the 220K is the entry to band 9, then Canadians are better off. 175K band 9 US is very close to the mid-range of the band and the mid-range of the band is essentially the dead end.
We have a LIAR @1kwr here who says he works in HR, I am a B9 and definitely make $220k in Toronto and 220k is my entry into band 9. Even if you did work in HR, which you don't you would only see salaries in a specific group and not all of IBM. Try again.
cad$220K and usd$175K are pretty close - a year ago, the 175 was actually worth more, now it is less, but within 5% or so depending on exchange rate.

I am jealous. B9 in US C&CS, and I only make $175K… time to look elsewhere… and to my management, expect my resignation soon.

I am on the Toronto CCS team and just over 2 years ago I went from band 7 making $155k to band 8 making $180k and then a few months ago to band 9 making $220k.
IBM is paying better than average in Canada. ServiceNow is in demand very much and folks are well compensated indeed.
Speak for yourself B8 RTP, NC 140k 5 years out of college no masters. People do in fact make good money sometimes. It's just the ones who don't come on this site and tell the world about it. If the offer ain't as good as what else you've got in hand then don't take it, pretty straightforward.
