Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Christmas bonus

With inflation rocketing, food prices, heating gas, electricity, and all other products significantly rising its becoming difficult.

Do we thing there will be a bonus or some extra pay at Christmas?

Or is that just for the executive level?

Be interesting to see what Michael says on the earnings call about inflation and staff pay.

Looks like Mike and Mary aren't going to deliver on this one.

The only thing we're going to get is those auto generated bot "Thank you" emails saying you've worked so hard, so as a thanks we will skrew you and reward ourselves for your hard work.

You never know mary may pull the rabbit out of the hat. Watch out for that reward email telling you thank you here's $500 for all the hard work.

Or will be it be different emails coming from the 10 layers of management , saying thanks have a good holiday on thin air or nothing.

We will know in the next week or 2.

After them set of awful results MJS has to make a bold move to turn this company around.

The bonus needs to be announced quickly to improve morale and stop the horrendous attrition in which skilled people leaving, left right, and centre, only to be replaced with people on more pay with no skills.

MJS you need to change things quickly before it's too late.

Hi Folks

It's MJS not MBS of Saudi, though I get paid well enough.

Thanks for your efforts, if it wasn't for you guys there would be no company, no delivery.

Anyhow I can't give you a raise, we have a mini annual review scheme now for which you should be grateful for, will try and not delay it next year as a favour. As for your stress over inflation food and energy I just don't see it as I'm on $21million, so doesn't apply to us at the top.

I know the new folks we recruit are on 20% more than you but that's the way it is, we think its worth paying extra for recruitment, giving them alot more pay, waiting a year for them to get up to speed and then leaving. Whilst you lot who deliver daily your part of the furniture so your on 20% less.

As for the big money it's for me and my Accenture people. We deserve the big bucks.

So keep up the good works and I will send you an thas email as your Christmas bonus

MJS

We are very well aware of the hard work and dedication that you all have put in the to delivering for the company. On behalf of the company, I would like to appreciate each one of you.

Having successfuly completed several projects before time, and delivered during this difficult covid period, our clients are very happy with us and the company is proud is of its employees.

We recognise the ongoing inflationary pressures you are under and the strain it is causing you and your families.

The company owes this successful year to each of you and to show our appreciation; we have decided to give you all Christmas bonus. The bonus you are entitled to is 5% of your annual salary.

May we take this opportunity to take a well earned break and continue on our transformation journey in the New Year.

Let's see what Michael says we're in exceptional circumstances and I'm sure he realises that people can't afford these heating and other energy cost rises.

He can't keep paying more money to new external recruits.

So his got no choice but to raise, otherwise there won't be anyone left,
Last person standing switch off the lights....

So His probably going to announce it on the results call, I'm going for 4 - 5%, I'm sure the analysts are going to challenge him on pay.

How can they give us more money, the company is not doing well . The stock holders denied the new executive package as well. WaKE UP! The way you all think is ridiculous.

Now other companies, my wifes for example the CEO, and executives all took pay cuts and gave up there bonus for a year, to help the company grow. You won't see that at DXC because our EXEC's are blood sucking a$$-holes

Your Christmas bonus will be an extra week’s salary as part of your WFR package. Did you expect anything else??

They did used to give bonuses in CSC. They even gave mince pies in the post one year and then that was it.

Now Mike has recognised that that staff and shareholders have worked out the executive bonuses eg even people like Vince and Mary get 5million for not delivering much, he will be offering something to staff who actually deliver the goods daily.

Christmas bonus?

What planet do you live on?!

They have never paid one before.... CSC never did, why would they now?

Your next pay "review" will be July/August 2022.

I can't see us getting 10%, that would be pushing it, maybe 8% or may even be as low as 5%.

Better yet, I can tell you right now what your bonus will be.

"As we are approaching Christmas, I'd like to thank everyone for their hard work and efforts to support DXC and its clients on their (perpetual) transformation journey. Do not forget to take a break through! We must also make a strong finish for the next quarterly results! Again, a bit fat thank you and see you next year."

Wake up. It'll be the same previous year, and the year before that, plus the year before that - you're going to get squat. You may receive some random, weird digital postcard (because we're digital, right?) that shouts about growth so often in hopes you'll believe what they say.

Do not listen to what they say, but watch what they do. This is why I've stopped attending town halls for more than a year; it's all hat, but no cattle.

I am sure he will; I heard him say when he rang the bell on Wall Street "our folks are important to our (his) success, we are all engaged because of the "mandatory survey" - NOT!
You forget, they have a very expensive lifestyle to maintain. And you are complaining..tut..tut

You say the leadership doesn't care but everything they say on the earnings call, town halls, and emails is making out they care and are regarding staff.

A lot of talk in this company but only the top get the rewards it seems. They think the workers at d-mb.

Still couple months to go let's see if they pay some of the inflation. Heating, lighting, electric has doubled. ADSL costs on top, this working from home has become so expensive.

Were not asking for 5 million USD like Vince or Mary, just some compensation for the spike in costs.

There will be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the working bees. NEVER EVER. The leadership of this organization considers its employees as EXPENDABLE RESOURCES.

They are well aware of the increased food prices, extra heating & electricity costs caused by WFH, etc. And they know for sure that the ONE TIME 4% salary "raise" (IMHO that is charity and certainly not a salary increase!!) does not even cover the YEARLY INFLATION. Moreover, most of us did not receive a salary raise in the past 5 years while the variable pay has simply been eliminated (i.e. a salary cut of at least 25% of our annual salary) and we were forced to sign a document stating that we accept we are not longer eligible for future variable pay.

In short, the leadership of this organization does not give a SH$$T about its employees.

I'm sure there will be something, think MS realises people can't survive on the poor rises given earlier so it's an opportunity to put it right to a level.

Let's see if the opportunity is taken up. Has anyone heard about the share scheme, Mary f said she would be looking into it on the last call, hopefully not forgetting after getting her $$$$$$$$$$
